The famous vocal artist, Whitney Houston was found dead at a hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Attempts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful. A long-ago boyfriend, , found her at the Beverley Hilton.
Whitney Houston, who produced some of the very finest singing in recent decades, also starred on the silver screen. She played herself in The Bodyguard with Kevin Costner (1992). She also starred alongside Angela Basset in Waiting to Exhale (2000).
She started her career as a fashion model, then later progressed to a singer career, for which she is best known.

Whitney won 6 Grammy awards. She also won many Billboard Music awards. Her song, "I Will Always Love You" was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 14 weeks. It was one of more than a dozen number one hit songs for Whitney.
