Mitt Romney the Mormon

Mormon Romney? Yep. Mitt was born to a Mormon family, served a Mormon mission for two and a half years, and converted his wife, Ann, to Mormonism.

Mormons read both the Bible and the books of Joseph Smith. The Bible compiles the recorded histories of the lives and deeds of the Kings of Israel; life stories of prophets of God (who performed miracles, forewarned destruction, and foretold the first and second coming of Jesus); and the testimonies of those who knew Jesus and walked with him.

There are many, many contradictions between Smith's teachings and those of Jesus. First, Jesus died "once and for all" and said he is the only way to Heaven. Smith followers believe that Smith's shed blood is the cause for their resurrection, not the blood of Jesus. Does that not make Jesus a liar, and God, too?

Mitt Romney LDS Mission

MItt Romney served a longer LDS mission than did the standard missionary. Many LDS young men serve a two-year mission trip. Romney went the extra mile and served another half year. Some speculate this is because a missionary qualified as a category exempt from the Vietnam draft. Romney served in the LDS mission field from July, 1966 to February, 1969. However, this accusation seems completely specious. Many young men in those years completed Mormon missions. Additionally, the draft did not end until January 27, 1973. The accusation looks even more ridiculous when it is pointed out that Mitt was enrolled at Stanford 1965-1966. He could have stayed in school those years, and been equally exempt from the draft.

The cities Romney visited during his stay in France were Le Havre, near the coast, and Paris. (Not a bad mission trip. Easy to see why someone would extend, war or no war.)

Is Romney a Mormon?

Is Mitt Romney a Mormon? When asked this question, Mr. Romney obfuscated a bit, he said, "It is the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints". He emphasized the Jesus Christ part. Why is this obfuscation, and not clarification? To clarify is to lay out the facts. To obfuscate is to muddy the waters with more information. The additional data seldom clarifies the issue.

When LDS missionaries knock on doors in California, or La Havre, or Paris, they open with tales of Jesus. Many former Mormons complain they were promised Jesus and the Bible. Then, after making commitments, developing new friendships, and learning a new routine, the LDS introduced the doctrine of Joseph Smith.

Why it is a Good Thing Romney is Mormon

What? How can anyone being Mormon be good? The answer is, a lot of people are now looking into what Mormonism is really all about. Some of these will learn the truth before a young man will come to their door and deceive them. Mormon missionaries are taught to omit bits about Joseph Smith, Lemuria, the (nonexistant) great Jewish colonies that Smith claimed existed in North America, Smith's tale that Jesus visited North America, and other whoppers. Hopefully, many will learn about those lies before a Mormon missionary knocks on the door.

Additionally, many Mormons are going to be subjected to the challenges against Mormonism. Some will actually do some research to find out about the dark history of Mormonism, the long rap sheet of Joseph Smith, the involvement of Smith and Brigham Young in secret societies, and the Satanic element of those societies.

Some will realize Joseph Smith really was a con-artist.

That is why it is good Romney is Mormon. The issue is going to receive attention. People will be set free by learning the truth.

Ex-Lifer Mormons Teach the Strange Tales of Joseph Smith and Mormons

MItt Romney Believes he Will Become a God

One of the teachings of Mormonism is that each Mormon male will resurrect and inhabit his own planet. On that planet, he will be a God.

Romney is Mormon. Therefore, Romney espouses this belief. He expects to become a God of his own world.

This brings us to another of the many contradictions between the Christian Bible and Mormon denominational doctrine. Mormons teach each other they will become Gods, and that there were already many gods before the world was made. Meanwhile, here is what the LORD told to Isaiah:

"I am the LORD, and there is no other. There is no other God besides me."(Isa 45:5a)

"Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I [am] the first, and I [am] the last; and beside me [there is] no God." (Isa 44:6)

This teaching is called "eternal progression." It is not exclusive to Mormons. This doctrine is held by Satanists and Druids.
