Did Jesus Say He is the Son of God?

Challenges from the Islamic Community
Muslims teach several false statements about Jesus. This is unfortunate. We all have a right to hear the truth about Jesus. Many Muslims challenge me, saying Jesus is not the Son of God. They also like to say, "Islam is better than Christianity- We have both Mohammed and Jesus." This has been my personal experience as a military Arabic translator in Kuwait and in Iraq. This has been my experience via private messages on YouTube.
Unlike the evening news, these conversations are polite. Arabs and other residents of the Middle East have an extremely polite culture. The purpose of this writing is not to insult Islam, Muslims or the Mideast. I am clarifying a misunderstanding, repeated widely in Islamic circles.
Here is a PM received this morning:
JESUS (pbuh) has ever wanted to be called GOD or SON of GOD, THIS IS AN INSULT TO GOD ALMIGHTY,
AL-TURKi
In response to Sayyed Al-Turki, I compiled the following scriptures:
Jesus is the Son of God- 18 Historical Accounts
Greetings, Al-Turki,
May my Heavenly Father grant you peace and wisdom that surpasses understanding.
When the King Nebuchadnezzar threw three Jews into a furnace for refusing to worship an idol, he saw this:
Dan 3:25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
Some sailors recognized the truth after Jesus commanded the sea to "be quiet" and immediately a storm ceased and the waters became flat.
Mat 14:33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshiped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
When Jesus was crucified on the cross, the graves of prophets opened, and those men walked around the city. The veil in the Temple of God tore in two, right down the middle, there was a great earthquake which shook the entire city of Jerusalem. These supernatural events testified of Jesus. And, the soldiers standing near the cross said,
Mat 27:54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
An angel from Heaven visited Mary when she was pregnant with Jesus and said, (Luke 1:35) And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
The disciple John, who walked with Jesus for three years says:
John 1:34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
When a young man of pure heart meets Jesus for the very first time,
John 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
Jesus speaking to his accusers on the day he was murdered:
John 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
Jesus refers to himself as the “Son of God”. Jesus raised Lazareth from the dead, and was glorified in that act:
John 11:4 When Jesus heard [that], he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
The fact that Jesus was raised from the dead by God ("the spirit of holiness") also testifies that Jesus is the Son of God:
Romans 1:4 And declared [to be] the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
Here are some things former angels (cast from Heaven when they rebelled, and made crooked in body to match their hearts) said when talking to Jesus:
Mat 8:29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
Mat 4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
Luk 4:41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking [them] suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.
Who believes Jesus is the Son of God has God in him:
1 John 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
1Jo 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
Whoever says Jesus is NOT the Son of God, calls God a LIAR.
1Jo 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
1Jo 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; [and] he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
1Jo 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
1Jo 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, [even] in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
As a Child, did Jesus Know that He is the Son of God?
Jesus called God "Father" when he was just 12.
It is very likely Jesus knew that He is the Son of God from the time he was an infant. When Jesus was just 12, his family, returning to their home region with the mass of Jewish travelers leaving the Jerusalem census, left without him. Joseph and Mary returned to Jerusalem and found him preaching at the Temple of the Lord. When they found Him, he said to them, "And he said unto them, How is it that you sought me? knew you not that I must be about my Father's business?" (John 2:49)
When Elizabeth heard Mary speak as Jesus was yet in Mary's womb, she became filled with the Holy Spirit as John the Baptist leapt in Elizabeth's womb. So, John was able to recognize the anointing of Jesus while both were yet in the wombs of their mothers!
What about prior to that? Was the divinity of Jesus known? Here is Luke chapter 1, verses 30 to 33: But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God.You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."
So, Mary knew that Jesus would be called "Son of the Most High" before Jesus was even born. And, in verse 35, the angel responds to Mary's questions about how a single woman could have a child: "The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God."
Mary knew her child's name before she was even pregnant: Jesus. And, Mary knew her child would be called "Son of God." Mary could have told little boy Jesus this information at any point in his life. So, as a child, did Jesus know He is the Son of God? It is very likely. Most likely, he knew the same way Peter knew: "no one has told you this but God." Jehovah Himself very likely ensured Jesus knew. Or, more likely, Jesus remembered things from before He became man.
Where in the Bible did Jesus say He is the Son of God?
In John 10:36 and in John 11:4, Jesus himself says he is the Son of God.
John 11:4 When Jesus heard [that], he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
John 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

According to the Biblical term in the Old and New Testaments, every God- fearing righteous person is called 'Son of God'. In Matthew 5:9 we read:
"Blessed are the peace-makers, for they shall be called the children of God."
Some people mistakenly thought that the disciples called Jesus Son of God. An inconsistency of translation actually helped to give this wrong impression. In the King James Bible, the translators call Jesus ‘Son of God’ in Acts 3:13, 26, and ‘child of God’ in Acts 4:27. They simply translated the Greek word paida as ‘son’ or ‘child’. But the word paida also means ‘servant’, and the present context demands this translation since the author of Acts is trying in this passage to establish that Jesus is indeed the servant of God.
1)Bible says The first son of God is Adam, it says like this: Adam which was the son of God. (Luke 3:38)
2) With weeping they shall come, and with pleas for mercy I will lead them back,
I will make them walk by brooks of water,in a straight path in which they shall not stumble, for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn. Jeremiah 31:9
3) I will proclaim the LORD’s decree: He said to me(David), “You are my son;
today I have become your father. (Psalms 2:7)
"I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me(david), Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.) (Psalms 2:7)
4) 22Then you shall say to Pharaoh, 'Thus says the LORD, Israel(Jacob) is my firstborn son, (Exodus 4:22)
5) He (Solomon) is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 14 I will be his father, and he will be my son. When he does wrong, I will punish him with a rod wielded by men, with floggings inflicted by human hands. (2 Samuel 7:13-14)
Also the angels are sons of God that says bible:
Luke 20:36
36 for they cannot die anymore, because they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
"In those days Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. Immediately coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens opening, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon Him; and a voice came out of the heavens: 'You are My beloved Son, in You I AM WELL-PLEASED.'" Mark 1:9-11
Genesis 6:2-4
the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. 3 Then the LORD said, “My Spirit will not contend with[a] humans forever, for they are mortal[b]; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.”
4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.
There are five more sons of God bible made all prophets son of God like made the prophet Jesus . so i have an advice be carefull in what you believe before be late if you want to see the only truth there is only one solution and that is ?slam. The only one monotheism ?slam.
Isaiah 12:2
New International Version (NIV)
Jesus said: Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense[a he has become my salvation.”
Acts 3:26 - To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning every one of you away from his iniquities.
Jesus is servant of God
“God raised up his servant” (Acts 3:26), where the title servant refers to Jesus.
Acts 3:26 - To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning every one of you away from his iniquities.
Clear verses that Jesus is servant of God:
Isaiah 49:1-13 - Listen to me, you islands; hear this, you distant nations; Before I was born the LORD called me; from my birth he has made mention of my name. He made my mouth like sharpened sword, in the shadow of his hand he hid me; he made me into a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver. He said to me, "You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will display my splendor." But I said, "I have labored to no purpose; I have spent my strength in vain and for nothing. Yet what is due me is in the LORD's hand, and my reword is with my God." And now the LORD says - he who formed me in the womb to be his servant to bring Jacob back to him and gather Israel to himself, for I am honored in the eyes of the LORD and my God has been my strength - he says: "It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth." This is what the LORD says - the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel - to him who was despised and abhorred by the nation, to the servant of rulers; "Kings will see you and rise up, princes will see and bow down, because of the LORD, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you." This is what the LORD says: "In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances, to say to the captives, 'Come out,' and to those in darkness, 'Be free!' They will feed beside the roads and find pasture on every barren hill. They will neither hunger nor thirst, nor will the desert heat or the sun beat upon them. He who has compassion on them will guide them and lead them beside springs of water. I will turn all my mountains into roads, and my highways will be raised up. See, they will come from afar - some from the north, some from the west, some from the region of Aswan. Shout for joy, O heavens, rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains! For the LORD comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.
Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. 18 Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him. John 7:17-18
Jesus said:
God, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” Luke 22:42
If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my God’s commands and remain in his love. John 15:10
"And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, 'Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? (My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken me?)'" - Matthew 27:46
Jesus Christ, to do the work of God as Mediator, was sent on a long journey, as far as it is from heaven to earth, and was thereby exposed to much difficulty, and great hardships, from men and devils. He was persecuted from place to place, his life being often in jeopardy; he had no place where to lay his head; and was at last most basely betrayed and put to death,
Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” Matthew 8:20
Jesus Christ, as God’s Servant, sought not his own glory. “I honour my God John 8:49 answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my God and ye do dishonour me.
“If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true,” John 7:17-18 [17] If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. [18] He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
God, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” Luke 22:42
John 12:49
For I did not speak on my own, but the God who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken.
If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my God’s commands and remain in his love. John 15:10
Matthew 15:22-28 -
Then came she and worshipped him, saying, 'Lord, help me.' But he answered and said, 'It is not meet to take the children's bread and to cast it to dogs.'
Not only Peter, but the
I havent see one prove yet from the bible jesus said he is son of god ! Adam no father or mother god ! Malchestik he is high suprema no father or mother king of jeurslem malaksa if lam king peace ! And god want son and daughter & family !
If Jesus Christ is not the "Son of God" then why does God Himself declare Jesus to be so at the river Jordan when He gets baptized?
Man from Modesto: Thank you. I am called by God to express His teachings through His Holy Spirit and through the written word. I take this obligation very seriously.
There are three parts to the Word of God. They are the Torah, Gospel, and Qur'an. And we shall be judged based on what part has been revelled to us, for it is God alone that opens our eyes to His Word.
I applaud Man from Modesto: for His stand here. His truth is God's truth also.
to man from modesto and dave mathews.
remember that on Judgement Day, we will be judged according to our own actions not on how many people we can convince in what we believe in or how much we can attach another person's belief so we can feel good. before you post such a bold statement about the Qur'an, read it and be enlightened.
May God's peace be with you.

Christ is the son of God.No one will believe in anything anyone says no matter what it is.We that know know that Christ was sent from God to give salvation to humankind. We each have a choice of what we want to accept in life.
